VIRIDITAS, Latin for “greenness,” comes from the 12th century writings of Hildegard von Bingen who used it to describe the divine life-force that drives creativity and spiritual growth in all things.

The flowers in this series are subjected to high-frequency electricity and photographed using a modified process originally developed in the 1940s and 1970s to record auras.

Photographs are printed on archival cotton rag or on archival backlit media and displayed as illuminated plywood lightboxes.
